Life can feel overwhelming sometimes.

You may know something needs to change, even if you’re not quite sure where to begin.
You don’t have to navigate it alone.
Together we can make sense of what’s happening and find a way forward that feels right for you.

About Me

I’m a compassionate and experienced psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting people through a wide range of emotional and psychological difficulties. I understand that reaching out for support can feel like a big step. My aim is to offer a warm, welcoming space where you can feel heard, understood and accepted without judgement.

Before I embarked on my journey to become a Psychologist, I read one of Maya Angelou’s books on a train to work one morning and I came across this sentence:

“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you”

Maya Angelou

I will provide you a secure, confidential and supportive environment to tell your story and be heard and empowered to heal.

I believe that we have the resources within us to help face the difficulties we experience in our lives. I help people find their inner resources so that they can start to make more healthy choices in life and overcome obstacles that they may be facing.

In Angelou’s 1971 poem “When I Think About Myself” she writes

“A dance that’s walked.

A song that’s spoke”

If life feels not like how it could be or once was, together, we can explore what you’re experiencing, make sense of the difficulties you may be facing, and begin to find a way forward that feels right for you. I believe that a trusting and supportive therapeutic relationship is at the heart of meaningful change, and I will work alongside you at a pace that feels comfortable.

Every person is different, so I tailor therapy to you rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. I draw on a range of evidence-based therapies, including Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), integrating these approaches to best support your individual needs.

People seek therapy for various reasons. Some are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties or difficulties arising from trauma(s). Others would like the opportunity to have the space to reflect and explore certain issues in a non-judgmental empathic environment. Whatever the reason you may be seeking therapy at this moment in time, you can get in touch with me.

I offer individual psychological therapy to adults and I can help with:

– depression
– low self esteem
–
relationship difficulties
– adjustment to health conditions
– trauma
– anxiety

– loss
– stress, bereavement or other difficult life events.
